Big Foot Gym celebrates the traditional spirit of Muay Thai, a martial art that accomplishes effective striking through correct form over strength. Our core philosophy centers around Respect, Honor, Discipline and Compassion.​
Ajarn Mike Walrath established Big Foot Gym under the lineage of the Thai Boxing Association, guided by Master Ajarn Chai Sirisuit.

We hold one class everyday. All levels train together:
Monday - Friday : 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Saturday & Sunday : 12pm Open Gym
Closed major U.S. holidays
$10 Drop-in Fee

KRU HARLEY
HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Kru Harley has been training Muay Thai for over 20 years as a student of Ajarn Mike Walrath, the original founder and head instructor of Big Foot Gym. Upon Ajarn's passsing in 2018, Kru Harley stepped into the role of Head Instructor and has been instrumental in keeping the gym and spirit of Muay Thai alive in Eugene, Oregon. When Kru Harley is not at the gym, he can be found spending time with his wife and two kids.

ASSISTANT TRAINER
Charlotte knows that dedicating onseself to Muay Thai is a daily practice. She knows you must put in the work everyday to build a foundation of strength and skill to compete in the ring. And that's exactly what she's been doing for the past 6 years. Her commitment to slowing things down and focusing on form, technique and getting it right is unmatched inside the gym, and the ring.

Muay Thai can be started at any time of life! You don’t have to be in perfect shape or perfect health to begin. You also don’t have to beat yourself up...training Muay Thai is great exercise and excellent stress relief. You'll learn discipline and develop self-esteem.
